SIJEL is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes original and high-quality research in the fields of language, linguistics, literature, oral tradition, arts, culture, and education. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, teachers, practitioners, artists, and postgraduate students to disseminate theoretical, empirical, and practice-based studies that contribute to the advancement of knowledge within these interconnected disciplines.

SIJEL accepts original research articles, conceptual papers, literature reviews, systematic reviews, case studies, classroom-based research, development studies, critical reviews, short communications, and other scholarly manuscripts that are relevant to the journal’s focus and scope. All submissions must demonstrate a clear research problem, appropriate theoretical and methodological foundations, coherent analysis, and a significant contribution to the relevant field.

Manuscripts that are purely descriptive, lack a clear scholarly contribution, fall outside the journal’s disciplinary coverage, or have been previously published will not be considered. Authors are expected to follow the journal’s submission guidelines, publication ethics, and academic writing standards before submitting their manuscripts.
