Plagiarism Screening and Similarity Check

Every manuscript submitted to SIJEL will undergo a similarity check using Turnitin before entering the peer-review process. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism, duplicate publication, or inappropriate text reuse.

Manuscripts with a similarity level exceeding 30% may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected from further consideration. Authors who are requested to revise their manuscripts must correct the identified similarities, improve paraphrasing, and ensure that all sources are cited accurately.

The final decision regarding the acceptability of the similarity report rests with the Editor-in-Chief. This decision is made as part of the journal’s editorial assessment and is final within the SIJEL publication process.
